Because the recordings, photos, and written stories that live on Remento aren’t just data – they're pieces of your life, your family's heritage, and your personal journey.

• Your data is private by default – only the people you trust get to read them.

Private by default

We believe you should have complete control over your memories. That's why:

• Everything added to Remento stays private unless you choose to share it.
• Collaborators can be added or removed from a project at any point.
• We never share your data (through social media or anywhere else) unless you explicitly told us to do so.
• We do not post stories to your Facebook account, or to other social networks. We would never automatically enable such a feature.
• The default way to log into the site is through your email account. In this case, there is no password that someone could guess. You may choose to enable single sign-on through Google.

You Own Your Stories – Always

You own 100% of your content on Remento. Here's what that means in practice:

• You retain all intellectual property rights to your content
• Your stories remain yours even if you stop using Remento
• We never claim ownership of your memories or content

Download at any time

We want to ensure your stories are always within reach:

• All of your recordings are automatically saved in your Remento account.
• You can download all your recordings, photos, or written stories at any time – even if you no longer have an active subscription with Remento.
• By purchasing an e-book, you can access a digital copy of your book.

How we secure your data

We protect your data with the same care we use for our own family memories:

• All stories are encrypted in the database.
• We do not look at our customers’ data unless you need us to troubleshoot your account.
• We partner with industry leader Google Cloud Platform for secure data storage.
• All communication with Remento is protected by SSL encryption.
• We trust Stripe, a leader in payment security, to handle all financial transactions.

While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we want you to know that we store our own family stories on Remento. Your memories are protected with the same care and dedication we give to preserving our own family's legacy.
